Tucson Parade of Lights And Festival  – 15th December

Get that festive feeling by heading down to Jacome Plaza for the 24th Annual Downtown Parade of Lights and Festival. Starting at Church Avenue and Alameda Street in Downtown Tucson, expect to see spectacular lights, live entertainment and even an appearance from Santa. A Long standing Tucson tradition, make sure not to miss out!

Rooftop Santa –Dec. 23 at 4054 E. 4th Street at 6:30 and 9 p.m

If you’re wondering where the best place to see Santa this holiday season is, you can’t get much better than on a rooftop. Santa Claus climbs onto a midtown roof and showers the audience with candy! This free event, also includes treats and hot cocoa, and don’t miss your opportunity to get your picture with Santa! Make sure to take a donation of non-perishable food to donate to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.

Enchanted snowfall at La Encantada

While snow may be the last thing you expect to see in Tucson, the enchanted snowfall at La Encantada gives you the chance to have a white Christmas after all. With a 28 foot holiday tree in the main courtyard, ‘desert style’ snowfalls take place every Friday and Saturday at 6 pm and 6:45 pm, from now until December 22, 2018. Blanco Tacos + Tequila will be serving Mexican hot cocoa and there will be performances from music groups in the intermission between snowfalls. A free event for the all the family.

Winter-break Arizona Wildcats basketball

Maybe not top of your festive list, but the winter-break University of Arizona Wildcats basketball games are great to get you in the holiday mood! Get your 5-game holiday package now – with games including Baylor (December 15)  Colorado (January 3) and Utah (January 5.)

Tucson’s Regional Ballet- ‘A Southwest Nutcracker’

Get transported back in time with this rendition of the classic ballet ‘The Nutcracker.’ Set in the 1880’s, the Tucson Symphony Orchestra incorporate the traditional story- but set in Tucson. Complete with coyotes, cavalry and rattlesnakes, it’s a must see this December.
